Cullins Service got a call to remove some dangerously close branches to a roof in Allston. A job like this with the branches so close to the house is tricky,  but Cullins Service was up for it. We got the job done w/ the right tools and the help of some carefully placed ropes to keep the branches away from the house and lower them down safely. We like a challenge and this was no exception.

We got to use our new echo pole saw attachment to our PAS-266 w/ 2 3 foot extensions. She worked great. The PAS has proven to be an invaluable tool in our arsenal. We also got to use some of our climbing gear. Some ropes, harness and various other cool things. And of course we used the Echo CS 330T chainsaw.

We took down 4 main branches and a few secondary branches. Got them safely away from the roof and cleaned it up a bit. The job was finished without a hitch and everyone involved was happy at completion including the roof.

Getting ready to sharpen and clean the chainsaw by Cullins Service

Getting ready to sharpen and clean the chainsaw by Cullins Service

How to Sharpen a Chainsaw Check Depth Gauge DIY Echo CS 330T Cullins Service

We at Cullins Service believes that if you take care of your equipment that it will take care of you. Same thing   w/ customers and well pretty much everything else in your life. So if you get anything out of this entry take those words of wisdom and apply them to your life. Anyway lets now apply them to your chainsaw.

This chainsaw is a Echo CS 330T. It’s a top-handled 14 inch climbing saw. She has been very good to us, and there is nothing more I like to do than keep her in good shape. This time it’s cleaning her up, checking er over for worn or broke parts, sharpening the chain, and checking the depth gauge. I’m performing these tasks on a Echo CS 330T, but the same principles apply to most chainsaws in general.

In this DIY How to sharpen a Chansaw I will show you how to disassemble your chainsaw to clean her out. I don’t go into detail about it, maybe in another video. I will show you two ways to sharpen your chainsaw. How to do it w/ round hand files and w/ an Electric sharpener. I know there are more, but these are my two methods.

What You will need

    • -Chainsaw
    • -A pair of gloves
    • -A round file. (Sized to match the pitch of the chain.)
      • -For both 1/4 and 3/8 inch low-profile chains, use a 5/32 inch file.
      • -For a 0.325 inch chain, use a 3/16 inch file.
      • -For both 3/8 and 0.404 inch chains, use a 7/32 inch file.
    • -A 6 inch flat file
    • -A file guide (Helps hold the file at the correct height and orientation)
    • -A depth-gauge
    • -A Vise or A stump vise

or

    • -Flathead Screwdriver
    • -Socket & Socket wrench or The proper Scrench Tool

Cullins Service Sprinkler Installation Complete

Cullins Service Sprinkler Installation Complete

Cullins Service Sprinkler System Installation Zone 01 in Wellesley

Cullins Service has installed a sprinkler System for Wellesley Property. We worked hard to get the lawn looking as beautiful as it does, and want to make sure it stays that way. The hot summer days can take a toll on grass. Installing a sprinkler can help relieve the stress of heat and keep your lawn looking lush and green.

We used Rainbird sprinkler heads, flex pipe, funny pipe, various pvc connectors and an automatic timer. So the homeowner has no need to worry about doing anything, but enjoy their healthy lawn.

This was zone 01 out of 06 zones. So look forward to seeing other sprinkler blogs, videos and galleries later. We sodded the grass and dug the trenches by hand. It was to time consuming so we have just got a kissCutter sod cutter and a E-Z Trench Bedscaper. Same great work with half or less the time. Cullins Service will be posting video, blogs and galleries on them as soon as we get some footage.

We enjoyed installing this irrigation system and hope you enjoy or posts and videos on it.
